Over 40,000 people die each year from opioid overdoses in the United States alone as the opioid crisis becomes increasingly dire. Narcan, an opioid-blocking medication approved by the FDA, has been around since the 1960s and is the go-to medication for anyone exhibiting opiate overdose symptoms. However, the FDA has recently approved two new drugs
