11PM Is the Hardest Hour of the Week. Now There’s a Meeting for It.

Tonight, May 22nd, at 11PM EST, Ben’s Friends is kicking off a new weekly Zoom meeting built around one simple truth: the shift doesn’t end when the adrenaline does.

For anyone working in restaurants and hospitality, the hardest hour isn’t always the long shift itself. It’s the hour right after. The adrenaline drops, the kitchen quiets down, and the bar is still right there. That hour, late at night, after close, is when a lot of people in this industry are at their most vulnerable, and it’s exactly the hour most recovery meetings aren’t built for.

Ben’s Friends saw that gap and built a meeting to fill it, as they recently announced on their Instagram.

Introducing the Pillars of Sobriety Meeting

The new weekly Zoom meeting will rotate through Ben’s Friends’ six core pillars, one per week:

  • We
  • Hope
  • Honesty
  • Acceptance
  • Gratitude
  • Service

These six pillars are the cornerstones the organization has built its entire community around, and now there’s a dedicated late-night space to sit with each one, together, at the exact hour when support is needed most.

How to Join

The Pillars of Sobriety meeting is free and open to anyone in the food and beverage or hospitality industry. It joins Ben’s Friends’ existing lineup of daily and late-night Zoom meetings, all designed around the real schedules of people working in this industry.
